And this festival is celebrated in Pakistan on 14 August. Because on this day India and Pakistan had two pieces. They formed two parts of India with the distinction between Hindu Muslims. Therefore, Pakistan celebrates this festival on 14 August.
History of 15 August Independence Day
The demand for independence had started long ago, and millions of Indian youth had contributed to it. And in this, many youths sacrificed for their country because of which the fight for the independence of the country became even stronger. And then Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose destroyed the British for the independence of the British. With the sacrifice of these millions of youth, India came closer to independence. And only after the Second World War in 1945.
The commercial condition of the British became severe, and then the British could not rule in their occupied country. Then the British themselves declared that now we will liberate India.
In February 1947, they elected Lord Mountbatten, India's last viceroy. And they gave Mountbatten the responsibility of India to make India India.
The British government had decided that India should be made independent on 3 June 1948. The speech started with the leader of India about Mountbatten becoming viceroy of India.
Because of this, a mutual partnership created in India, because of which they prohibited independence? Which was to be provided to India in 1948 in 1947? And Mountbatten based on the day 15 August 1947.
Why did Mountbatten decide the day of August 15?
We Indians keep in mind the auspicious and inauspicious before doing any work.In absolutely the same way, Mountbatten considered auspicious inauspiciousness. That's why Mountbatten chose the day of 15 August because this day was special for him. Because after the 1945 Second World War, the Japan Army had surrendered itself to Allied forces.
And Mountbatten was the head of the entire army during the Second World War. This Allied force was formed by the year 1942, in which 26 countries were involved and English was one of them. And so they chose Mountbatten.
When the day was fixed for 15 August, Indian enthusiasts rejected it, and it was not good for us. He protested this, but Mountbatten insisted on his lap and he insisted on not changing any day.
So the Indian Jotisho took another solution. He fixed the time of 12 on 14 and 15 August.
According to the British, the next day starts after 12 pm.
But the next day happens after the sun rises from the part of the Hindu calendar. And they decided to give freedom on the night of 14.
What happened on the first day of independence
This celebration of independence was going to Delhi, and from the evening of 14, it started raining in Delhi. But this celebration of independence was being celebrated in every situation. That is why even after so much rain, about 5 lakh people had gathered.
After 200 years of slavery, they would get freedom, so tonight was precious. Then at 10 o'clock in the Rashtrapati Bhavan of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, Valhab Bhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and Mountbatten came.
The great Mahatma Gandhi was not in this independence part. When the preparations for independence were going on, Mahatma Gandhi was sitting on a fast in Bengal, 1000 KM from Delhi.
Because they were furious with the Hindu and Muslim riots, they were sitting on a hunger strike to stop them.
Nehru and Sardar Patel wrote a letter to Gandhiji. We altogether have to give the dream of a free India.
That dream will be fulfilled. If you give blessings to all of us on this occasion, it will be very good. So in response, Gandhiji said when brothers of India are fighting among themselves.
So how can we celebrate independence?
Therefore, Gandhi did not take part in this festival. Then at 11:51 pm, Jawaharlal Bharat was to declare independence and at 12:00 pm it was to end.
On 15 August, it started at 8:30 am and started taking affidavit in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Then neither the national song was sung nor they waved the tricolor.
They celebrated the whole of India Independent Day on 15 August.
On India's Independence Day, the flag that was hoisted or sung was sung. But the national anthem Ravindra Nath Tagore wrote which in 1911 itself. They made this Git the national anthem in the year 1950. And on August 16, they waved the flag from the Red Fort.On this day, they created an atmosphere of happiness in the whole of India. Everyone was waiting for this day with many drops of rain.
People have considered this day very important in Pune. But to date, we do not know it who signed the oath papers of independent India.
